Interlude: February Roundup and March Events

Hello readers! Another month is upon us. In February we had two great programs at the YMCA. The first was by the Wenham Street Brass, in an educational concert for the Y preschool. I’ll publish pictures of the event as soon as I am able. One picture is up at the Wenham Street Brass website. The second performance was by Dan Flonta, our new violin teacher.

A bit of A Street propaganda

Wayne Shen, our first violin teacher, recently left us to head up an entire school’s music department in Tuscon, Arizona. We wish him the best of luck in his new job, and we thank him for the wonderful teaching and help he brought to A Street since we opened in September 2010.

That being said, our teachers are involved in a ton of different concerts in March. I am unsure when our next A Street Music event will be, but I’ll keep everyone posted. We will be having a student/faculty recital in the late Spring, and I’ll get dates to you as soon as I know them. Please check out the list of performances below, and help support greater Boston’s local musicians!
